Product Review: Watermelon Amigurumi Crochet/Knit Kit from Darn Good Yarn
Crochet and knit kits are becoming so popular these days, and I must say that I love them too! Kits are so easy because they arrive right to your door containing all the items necessary to make whatever it is you are wanting to make. This comes in handy when you may not have a scrap of a specific color of yarn or a particular size crochet hook the pattern required.

When Darn Good Yarn reached out to me to try their Watermelon Amigurumi Knit & Crochet Kit, I had to say YES! My kids are really into playing with their small kitchen toys. They are also into playing with my yarn and crocheted items, so this was a PERFECT kit to try out.
This kit comes with everything you need to crochet or knit two different watermelon slices: knit and crochet patterns, red yarn, pink yarn, white yarn, light green yarn, dark green yarn, black yarn, stuffing, a pair of 4 (3mm) double pointed knitting needles, a C/2 (3mm) crochet hook, and a darning needle. (There was actually enough leftover yarn for me to complete at least one other slice as well!)
If you are new to knitting and crocheting, there are picture tutorials on how to work the basic stitches needed to complete the project. The pattern was very easy to follow and the slices worked up quickly.
Darn Good Yarn also has other amigurumi kits that I would love to try out.
I had fun making these TikTok videos of the progress while crocheting my little watermelon toys.
Do you have some kids you can gift the finished project? Or perhaps you’re a beginner crocheter wanting to make a simple amigurumi project. Grab your kit here! Which kit will YOU be making? Leave a comment below.
