I can’t believe that this pattern is the LAST of my Bookmark Bonanza CAL. It’s been such a pleasant journey and I’ve read so many fabulous books of different genres that have really helped me achieve my goal of spending more time on this particular hobby of mine. I hope you decided to purchase the Bookmark Bonanza CAL Pattern Bundle where each pattern comes with a video tutorial and a little book review. That way, you can keep these patterns with you and crochet up your favorite bookmarks whenever you need them!
I’ve also loved the creativity in making the bookmarks in my Facebook group and CAL group on Ravelry and can’t wait to see your version of December’s pattern.
For this month, we’ll be crocheting JJ’s Bookmark as we read the book Fourth Wing by Rebecca Yarros.
Twenty-year-old Violet Sorrengail was supposed to enter the Scribe Quadrant, living a quiet life among books and history. Now, the commanding general―also known as her tough-as-talons mother―has ordered Violet to join the hundreds of candidates striving to become the elite of Navarre: dragon riders.
But when you’re smaller than everyone else and your body is brittle, death is only a heartbeat away…because dragons don’t bond to “fragile” humans. They incinerate them.
With fewer dragons willing to bond than cadets, most would kill Violet to better their own chances of success. The rest would kill her just for being her mother’s daughter―like Xaden Riorson, the most powerful and ruthless wingleader in the Riders Quadrant.
She’ll need every edge her wits can give her just to see the next sunrise.
Yet, with every day that passes, the war outside grows more deadly, the kingdom’s protective wards are failing, and the death toll continues to rise. Even worse, Violet begins to suspect leadership is hiding a terrible secret.
Friends, enemies, lovers. Everyone at Basgiath War College has an agenda―because once you enter, there are only two ways out: graduate or die.

This was such a fun read! It is an adult fantasy book. Think Harry-Potter-length Hunger-Games-Meets-Dragon-Masters-Meets-Romance-Novel.
How’s that for a genre?
I read this while sick in my bed with I assume is gallstones – waiting to hear back from the radiologist. I couldn’t put it down!
Don’t have time to work this up? Pin it for later!
