Crochet Tutorial: How to make the Bobble Stitch
A very popular crochet stitch these days is the bobble stitch. This stitch adds puffed out bobbles to your crochet project which adds a lot of fun texture. I just think bobbles are so fun to make and they look so fluffy!
Any crocheter can learn the bobble stitch – there’s just a few different steps!

The bobble stitch (bo) is created by working 5 partial double crochet stitches (dc) all in the same stitch without finishing individual dc. After the 5th partial dc, yarn over and pull through all loops to finish off the stitch. The bo is typically followed by a ch 1 or a sc to make the bo bubble out on the other side of your work, because of this, work your bobble stitches on the wrong side (WS) so you can see them on the (RS). For your rows on the RS, use sc if you’d like your bobbles to be clustered together.

Yarn over.
Insert hook in next stitch, yarn over.
Pull through stitch (3 loops on hook).
Yarn over and pull through 2 loops to complete 1st partial dc (2 loops on hook).
[Yarn over to start next partial dc, insert hook in SAME stitch, yarn over & pull through stitch, yarn over & pull through 2 loops to complete 2nd partial dc (3 loops on hook)]*repeat until 6 loops on hook.
Yarn over and pull through all 6 loops.
This completes 1 bobble stitch (bo), making the bobble pop out on the opposite side of your work.
In this pattern all bo are followed by a sc in the next stitch.
