Winter Mosaic Crochet Blanket Strip Pattern – Free + Easy
Looking for a simple crochet pattern to add a little charm to your holiday projects? This winter mosaic crochet blanket strip pattern is filled with festive details and cozy winter vibes!
The pattern is worked in two parts: a red strip with a design that reminds me a little of Nordic snowflakes, and a green strip with fun zigzags. Both are sprinkled with cute little dots for an extra bit of detail!

If youโre making the Frosted Windowpane Blanket, this design is Section 1, Strip A. But you donโt have to use it only as part of the blanket! Arrange the pieces however you like to create your own look, repeat the design as many times as youโd like, or use the strip in another project entirely. There are so many possibilities!

Front Loop Only Double Crochet (FLOdc)

FLOdc stitches create the vertical mosaic overlay.

Pattern Notes
- Pattern is worked from right to left on RS only. (If you are left handed, feel free to work from left to right according to the chart below).
- Each row is worked in alternating colors.
- Fasten off at the end of each row, and begin again on the right-hand side of the RS.
- Each row begins with 1 border stitch, has a repeat of stitches, and 1 border stitch at the end.
- The patterns include written instructions and a chart.
- The colors on the chart indicate how the finished project will look, not what color you are using for that stitch.
- You may choose to make your Foundation Row the traditional way by chaining 196, then sc in the 2nd ch from hook.
- Work a row of BLOhdc between each part.
- Donโt weave in your ends; we will create an envelope border at the end of the project to hide them.
