Inspiration behind the pattern
The Yarn
The yarn I used for this pattern is called Wander acrylic yarn from Furls Crochet. This yarn was provided to me for the use in the magazine. The six colors are:
- Snow
- Caspian
- Atlantis
- Dahling
- Enchanted
- Sprout
I have used this yarn a few times before. I really love how vivid the colors are! I also loved the texture – so soft and shiny! I am envisioning many more projects using this yarn. And there are so many more colors to choose from as well.
In the past, I found that were was some fraying and knots in the skeins of yarn, but I didn’t find that was the case this time around.
I also used this yarn in my Porch’n’Picnic Blanket, Granny’s 4-Square Pillow, Striped Moss Plant Pot Cover and Simple Mesh Mug Rugs.
The Hook
The hook I used to work up this pattern is a Candy Shop Blackberry size I/5.5mm hook from Furls Crochet. This is a beautiful hook, isn’t it? I think it matched the yarn perfectly!
Tester Love
Check out these makes by my pattern testers! What lovely pillows, don’t you think?
Granny Square Love
The basis for the RainBoho Pillow is the Granny Square. If you have never made a granny square, you can learn how to make one here. I have several patterns featuring the granny stitch. Check them out!
