The Great Summer Mosaic CAL
The Mosaic Sunshines pattern is featured in the Great Summer Mosaic CAL, a collaborative CAL hosted by Juniper & Oakes in 2026.
This is a cheerful and nostalgic summer crochet blanket project, collaboratively designed by 10 amazing crochet designers! We will share a new section of the blanket each Tuesday and Friday from June 2nd – July 3rd, and the border on July 6th. Together, these sections will create a vibrant blanket reminiscent of a summer scrapbook.

A chart for each section will be provided for free on the designer’s site. However, if you would like to work at a faster pace, or prefer written instructions over graphs, you can also grab the eBook. This beautifully-formatted PDF includes graphs and written instructions for every section in the blanket, plus links to helpful video tutorials for selected sections. It’s all organized in one convenient place.

Pattern Notes
- Pattern is worked from right to left on Right Side only. (If you are left handed, feel free to work from left to right according to the chart below).
- Every row is worked in a different color.
- Fasten off at the end of each row.
- Every row begins with a beginning border stitch.
- Every row ends with an ending border stitch.
- Sc are worked in BLO of the previous row, unless otherwise noted.
- Dc are worked in FLO of stitch 2 rows below, skipping the stitch behind unless otherwise noted.
- You may choose to repeat the pattern as many times as you wish. Make sure your Foundation Row is made up of any multiple of 48 plus 3 extra stitches. I will be using 4 repeats (or 8 sunshines total). So my foundation row is (4×48) + 3 = 195 stitches).
