Simple Granny Square Wall Hanging – Free Crochet Pattern
Is there anything more iconic in the crochet world than a granny square? I think not. When people think of crocheted items, many times they envision a piece made out of granny squares. Did you know there is a whole day dedicated to granny squares? Granny Square Day is August 15th!
How are you celebrating?
Don’t have time to crochet this pattern now? Pin it for later!
I realized that I did not have an original Juniper & Oakes Granny Square pattern, and I set right out to rectify that situation. And what better pattern for Juniper & Oakes to create but a simple wall hanging? That’s right up my alley!
Below you will find very basic instructions on how to create this simple wall hanging. OR you can purchase the inexpensive pattern from Etsy or Ravelry (I really do appreciate the support so I can keep creating patterns).

Notes
There are many different ways to start a granny square (ex: magic circle), you may choose to begin Round 1 with a method you are more comfortable with.
Ch 3 at the beginning of a round counts as a dc.
This wall hanging is worked in the round.
For a different look, fasten off at the end of each round and change yarn colors. It would make a great stash busting project.
For a tighter look, you may chose to ch 1 instead of ch 2 between clusters.
For a limited time only, I am offering this pattern as a free download just because. Click here to find the coupon code.
