JJ’s Blankie – Baby Blanket – Free Crochet Pattern using Cluster Stitch & Shell Stitch Border
I love a good baby blanket, don’t you?
I have made baby blankets for all of my nieces and nephews. Sometimes they love them; sometimes, they sit on rocking chairs like heirlooms. One of my nephew’s baby blankets I crocheted for him has so many holes in it from years of naptime snuggles. So precious!
This past winter, my newest little nephew, Jett, was born, and of course, I HAD to crochet him up a blanket, too!
I decided to make a blanket similar to the one I made for his older sister a few years back. Unfortunately, I never did write down the pattern for the blanket I made for little Jayda. Good thing my sister-in-law loves me and supports my crochet business because she sent dimensions, stitch counts, and pictures of Jayda’s blanket so I could replicate it for baby Jett too.
I decided to name this crochet pattern “JJ’s Blankie” after Jayda & Jett. Get it?
(Although this pattern is available for free down below, it is also available in an ad-free printable .PDF file for only $5.00. It can be downloaded instantly from Etsy or Ravelry. Purchasing my inexpensive patterns really help me be able to keep making patterns for other crocheters to enjoy. Thank you for supporting my small business!)

Thank you for this fun and easy pattern. Knowing that I lacked enough yarn to make the entire project as shown : a three stripe repeat, I modified it to a 3-2-1-2-3 stripe version and added a check edge border. I think it turned out just fine! Besides, who’s going to question it?
