Skill Level: Beginner

Materials:

• Yarn: High Desert Yarn in “Marigold” (100% Super Wash Merino Wool) or 15 yards of any DK weight yarn
• Hook: E/4 – 3.5mm
• Yarn needle
• Scissors

Gauge: 

Not necessary for this bookmark.

Finished Size: 

Approximately 13” x 2.5”.

Stitch Abbreviations (US Terminology):

• ch – Chain
• dc – Double Crochet
• sc – Single Crochet
• sl st – Slip Stitch
• FSC – Foundation Single Crochet
• yo – Yarn Over

Pattern Notes:

• Stitches between *asterisks* are repeated.
• Ch 3 at the beginning of a round does count as a dc.
• After creating the granny circle, make you FSC as long as you want your bookmark to be.

Instructions:

Granny Circle

Round 1: Make a mc, Ch 3, 11 dc in the mc, sl st to top of ch 3 to join.

Round 2: Turn, ch 3, dc between 1st and next st, *2 dc between next 2 sts,* around, sl st to top of ch 3 to join.

Round 3: Turn, ch 3, 2 dc between 2-dc clusters, *3 dc between 2-dc clusters* around, sl st to top of ch 3 to join.

Do not fasten off.

Tail

FSC x 44 or however long you want your bookmark tail.

Fasten off.

Attach a tassel to end of tail.

Weave in all ends.
